To mark the beginning of the summer holidays, YMCA South Molton held a children’s fun afternoon which welcomed over 40 children from the local area.
The afternoon was provided to help children stay busy during the summer holidays whilst having fun making new friends.
43 children attended the fun day and took part in activities such as painting, baking, bouncy castle games, and a picnic.
Amy Somerwill, Youth & Community Worker at YMCA South Molton said:
“As a team we wanted to offer the children who attend our regular sessions the chance to engage with the centre in fun and exciting ways during the summer break.
“We listed to parents about what the children would like, and we decided to host two fun afternoons, the first on Tuesday 31st July and the second on Tuesday 14th August where we have a BBQ and water games planned.
“It’s been really encouraging to see our regular children attend as well as new young people and families from around the community.”
Local parents said on Facebook, “A fantastic thing to offer families in the area! Thank you to everyone!”
