In this voluntary role you will support and shape YMCA South Molton as it develops in this exciting season. YMCA South Molton provides a much needed community space for the benefit of South Molton and its residents alongside a well-developed youth service, impacting hundreds of young people every year. We are inspired and motivated by the love God has shown to us, and the desire to see communities transformed into places characterised by love, joy, peace and hope where all people can become everything that they were created to be.
We are looking for exceptional individuals who can impart their expertise, gifts and wisdom in order that the Christian Mission of YMCA South Molton continues to be realised through our daily work and ministry. In particular we are searching for individuals with experience in any of the following areas:
- Church leadership
- Provision of community services
- Delivery of a community based group
- Children’s services
- Safeguarding
- Business development
In order to best serve the charity, you will be committed to the Christian faith and be able to fully support and promote the ethos of YMCA. This role will involve attending evening board meetings, usually 1 per quarter throughout the calendar year. You will also have the opportunity to make a bigger impact through volunteering on the ground, pushing the charity forward. This role will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
